When we started seeing ad after ad for the Drone X Pro, it could only mean one of two things. Either this a very successful drone company that has sold a lot of these drones and thus has more money to throw at advertising. Or, as is the case with the Drone X Pro, they are paying affiliates large commissions to pedal these drones to the unsuspecting public.
For those who aren’t familiar with affiliate marketing, it is basically where a company will pay marketers a commission for getting people to buy their products. It’s a great model! In fact, I promote products that have affiliate programs. It’s great for the consumer and the company as long as the product is a good product.
Unfortunately in the case of the Drone X Pro, this isn’t the case. Affiliate marketers are pushing this cheap toy drone that has been marked up to a ridiculous price just so they can get their hands on a big commission check without caring about the people who end up buying the thing.
Don’t believe me? That’s fine. In this Drone X Pro review, I will walk through the drone’s specs, mobile app and other information as well as provide you with much better alternatives should you decide this drone is not for you.

What is the Drone X Pro?
According to the official website, the Drone X Pro is a “revolutionary new super small foldable drone… at just a fraction of the cost”. They go on to state that it is their mission to “take the greedy drone manufacturer’s down!”
They even tried their best to make it look outstanding in this promo video.
With its foldable design, 720p camera and other features, it may seem like the ultra bargain drone, but don’t be fooled. To understand why this is a cheap knockoff, I must introduce you to the Eachine E58.
What is the Eachine E58?
If you can’t tell from the picture, the Eachine E58 is the exact same drone as the Drone X Pro. The Drone X Pro is just a new name with a higher price tag.
The Eachine E58 is an almost identical knockoff of the DJI Mavic Pro. From the foldable design to the colors and gold bands on the arms, it looks the same but obviously performs very differently.
The E58 is smaller, lighter and cheaper in every possible way. The camera is lower quality. The flying features are much more limited. Everything is far inferior despite the identical design.
If you really wanted to buy the Drone X Pro, you can get an Eachine E58 from Chinese dropshipping suppliers for under $40 at the time of this writing. Hell, even if you wanted 2 day shipping, you could still get this drone for under $70 directly on Amazon. This is still nowhere near what some of the prices I have seen for the Drone X Pro.
If you are looking the Eachine E58 (aka Drone X Pro) for what it is, a cheap toy drone, then this actually isn’t so bad. But if you are paying $100+ for this thing expecting DJI Mavic Pro specs, you are going to be sorely disappointed.
How much does the Drone X Pro cost?
At the time of this writing, the cost is floating around $100. But depending on what shady advertisement you click on, you can find prices multiple times that.
The company is also “releasing” more drones and better drones. I say “releasing” because they are just taking China brand products and slapping their name on them. They aren’t actually creating anything new.

Is the Drone X Pro any good?
On the surface, the Drone X Pro appears to have some pretty good features and functionality for a low budget drone. It is more of the shady marketing that concerns me.
Some of the Drone X Pro specs:
- Foldable Design: The arms fold up nice and compact for easy portability with pictures even showing it fit into your pocket.
- 720P Ultra Wide Camera: The camera is not the highest quality but I’ve seen worse.
- Ultra Stable: They claim that it is ultra stable in high winds despite its size.
- Flight time: With only a 12 minute flight time, bring extra batteries because the Drone X Pro just can’t stay in the air for very long.
The Drone X Pro also boasts 360* flipping and one click return to home functionality. With an app on Android and iOs, most people should have the ability to fly this drone right out of the box.
Looks half decent for a budget drone right? Maybe. The marketing is misleading at best. With no gimbal for camera stabilization, any attempts at professional drone photography are not happening. If you watch the ad videos and see super stable video, they faked it.
So, in conclusion, the Drone X Pro is pretty good for a $40 DJI knockoff. But that is all you should expect out of this drone. If you are paying over $70 for this thing, you are getting ripped off. There are much better alternatives to the Drone X Pro out there.
Drone X Pro alternatives
If I had to recommend one alternative, it would obviously be the DJI Mavic Pro because that is the real, high quality version of this knockoff.
The Mavic Pro is not cheap, nor should it be with the features it has, but if you are looking for the real thing, this is it. If you want a slightly more budget friendly DJI drone, you can take a look at the DJI Mavic Air.
I understand that not everyone is in the market for a $1000 drone though and may have been intrigued by the seemingly inexpensive price of the Drone X Pro.
For those on a shoestring budget who just want to give drones a shot without breaking the bank, my top recommendation from my list of budget drones is the GordVE Foldable Drone.
Notice anything about this drone? That’s right. It looks a lot like the Drone X Pro. Probably because it is based on the same Eachine E58.
The big difference here is that you can get the GordVE Foldable Drone here for $50 with free shipping!
It has all the same specs as the Drone X Pro (because it might very well be the exact same drone). This is how much the Drone X Pro is worth so for $50 I definitely would recommend the GordVE Foldable Drone over the Drone X Pro every day of the week!
Is the Drone X Pro worth it?
The Drone X Pro is DEFINITELY NOT worth some of the astronomical prices I have seen it listed for across the internet.
It is an extremely cheap Mavic Pro knockoff parading around as a premium budget drone. This is just one case where shady marketing and money-hungry affiliates will push bad products just to make a buck.
If you are serious about drone photography, you will need to invest in a higher quality drone like the Mavic Pro.
